Today I had a Sigmoidoscopy and have not eaten for forty hours. It actually was pretty good and I was not hungry at all.

Lunch - two pork chops, garden salad with pear tomatoes and avocado, mayonnaise and fresh chopped garlic.

SF Jello, 1/3 cup of blueberries, 1 banana

I am fasting today for a Sigmoidoscopy and I found out that my dog had been "put down."

I also realized that I am a stress eater more so than I thought. I found that I wanted to comfort the pain by feeding it. That would help somehow numb the feeling of hurt that I felt.

Thankfully, I was fasting for my procedure tomorrow and stayed true to the fast and dealt with the stress by exercising.

It's Father's Day! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Peace to all of you dad's out there, or as my brother says, Happy Pappy's Day!

Took the hubby and father of my three beautiful children to Coconut's in Palo Alto. YUM!

We ordered the Jerk Chicken Wings Appetizer and then to my surprise "the hubster" ordered the same thing I did... The Jerk Burger w/ Provolone and Sweet Potato French Fries.

We were to full for dessert - Thank goodness.

I love love love Coconuts. Good food even though they are a bit slow on the service side of things. They had a great Steel band playing AWESOME music.

Fasting myself out of balance very quickly was not on my plan.

OH MY! ! ! It has been 5 weeks since I have blogged my food choices. I started out fasting (water) for a week so there wasn't anything to list. However, that didn't work out after I came off of the fast... it was good for the first two days, afterward it was a struggle throughout the days to come and then I just ate good carbs like Steel Cut Oatmeal, Brown Rice, etc.

So today is where I place my stake in the ground of honoring myself with better food choices that nourish my body and stabilize my blood sugar levels. I feel so much better with a Low Glycemic eating plan.

Exercise and Eat Right.




Breakfast - Egg, 4 slices of bacon, 2 cups of coffee w/ half and half.











Snack - Two medium sized bananas; 3/4 cup raw almonds

3 egg omelet w/ red-green-orange bell peppers, onions garlic, ham & cheese.
1 slice bacon 1/2 cup blueberries; Hot Tea

It has been a bit of a struggle since last weekend's wedding to get totally back on track with my eating. I know that I have not honored what I wanted to do and have wiggled/justified my eating breads, cakes and sweets. Once again i have to question why it is that I don't HONOR myself with the words and desires that I have. I will say that my weight is back under the 200 mark and that it was really good trying on some dresses this morning that were much looser than when I last wore them during the summer of last year. That gives me encouragement and assists me in getting rebalanced.
